“To all my LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) friends, I am happy to announce that we are all welcome to enter the club,” said Floresca.
According to her, cross-dressing will now be allowed by Valkyrie, provided that guests will still follow the club’s general dress code guidelines, which includes rules against the wearing of slippers, tank tops, and the like.
“They don’t discriminate. This is a good start,” said Floresca, who was previously denied entry into the club in Taguig City for “cross-dressing.”
The club was then widely criticized for being discriminatory against LGBTs. (READ: Valkyrie Club apologizes to transgender fashion designer)
Now, however, Floresca is thankful for the Valkyrie management for modifying their dress code.
“Time to celebrate,” she said. – Rappler.com
