Rappler Talk: The 2015 Move Awards
Have you met someone who inspires you to change the world? Nominate them for Rappler’s Move Awards

MANILA, Philippines – To move is to shift in position, change direction, take a step forward. To move is what we do with our bodies – but it’s also what we do with people and circumstances that surround us.

Last July 16, Rappler’s Maria Ressa talked with two 2 individuals who are passionate about movement in very different, yet very similar ways: JK Anicoche – A performance artist, acting coach, and head of the Sipat Lawin ensemble; and Paul Rivera – Founder and CEO of Kalibrr, a digital recruitment platform.

Here at Rappler, our passion has always been to tell the stories of those who instigate change – not just for themselves, but also for others.

Sometimes, they use their talents. Sometimes, they obstinately push for a revolutionary idea. Sometimes, they simply start to spread the word – and they don’t stop until help happens.

Think about it: What does it mean to move? How do you act for change? Who inspires you to do so?

Now, you get to tell their story.

The Move Awards is our initiative to celebrate outstanding Filipinos who don’t let reality get in the way of their dreams: they look at the status quo and inspire others to change it with them for the better.

Together, let’s choose 5 exemplary individuals who have capitalized on their passion and maximized their skills to create meaningful impact within their communities. More importantly, they inspire others around them to act.

More than celebrating what has been accomplished, we aim to highlight what still can be done. We hope that this award will pave the way for Movers to keep going forward, changing the world one conversation at a time.

So, who moves you to take action? Nominate your Mover today. – Rappler.com
