Iglesia minister Isaias Samson Jr has been expelled by the Iglesia ni Cristo, Brother Edwil Zabala, spokesman of the Iglesia ni Cristo confirmed on Friday, July 24. Zabala said Samson and his family were expelled for disobedience and their refusal to submit to the church. On Thursday night, Samson narrated how his family was kept under house arrest in their Tandang Sora townhouse in Quezon City. Church officials, according to him, tried to persuade him – while he was detained – to say the claims made by Angel Manalo and his mother Tenny were untrue. Mother and son had appealed for help, saying their lives were in danger.
