Will this result in improved train services? The transportation department is pinning its hopes on a new Metro Rail Transit Line 3 prototype train car that will be arriving in the port of Manila between August 10 and 14. The prototype will be assembled by personnel of China-based Dalian Locomotive, and will start “static testing by September,” according to Transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya. 48 new train cars will be also be delivered starting the first quarter of 2016.
