The influential Iglesia ni Cristo church turns 101 years old on July 27, but it is also faced with an unprecedented crisis that has split members and put their otherwise secretive processes under the spotlight. One INC minister quit as he defied the orders of the church’s office expelling two members of the Manalo family, which has led the church in the last century. Some members skipped the INC anniversary rites on Sunday and chose instead to gather near a church-owned compound to support the INC head’s expelled mother and brother.
