The Judicial and Bar Council yet again postpones its meeting to finalize its shortlist of nominees for chief justice
MANILA, Philippines – The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) has cancelled its scheduled meeting today, Wednesday, August 8, because of the floods in Metro Manila.
Senator Francis Escudero said on his Twitter account that the “JBC meet today is cancelled.” The council has not set a new date, Escudero said, “although our regular meet is every Monday.”
The JBC has already postponed 4 times its final meeting to come up with a shortlist of nominees for chief justice to be submitted to President Benigno Aquino III. – Rappler.com
