Here is what you thought the president missed during his SONA speech as well as other memorable moments on social media

MANILA, Philippines – July 27 was President Benigno Aquino III’s last State of the Nation Address (SONA). It lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes, but according to netizens, many expectations were still not met.

The “bosses” were tuned in to his last accomplishment report. According to Rappler’s social listening tool Reach, #SONA2015 collected over 2 million impressions with tweets coming from over 25,000 unique users from 4:00 pm, when the speech started, to 7:00 pm, a few moments after the speech.

The biggest reactions from the crowd came after the following happened during the speech:

• When he made the modern-Filipino cultural references

• When he made a clear stand against political dynasty

Parody Twitter account @iamnancybinay caught the attention of hundreds of netizens when she tweeted her annoyance.

• When he mentioned Interior Secretary Mar Roxas

• When he mentioned the late Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo

And then when a few members of the audience booed right after he delivered his speech.

The speech mentioned a summary of his accomplishments and his plans for the last year of his term. But according to some netizens, he failed to mention or expound on a couple of very vital issues.

The most glaring issues that people were looking for were the Mamasapano Clash, the Freedom of Information (FOI) Bill, and the West Philippine Sea dispute with China.
