
MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang announced the suspension of classes in flood-hit areas on Thursday, August 9.
In a memorandum released Wednesday night, August 8, Executive Secretary Paquito “Jojo” Ochoa Jr said classes are suspending in all levels, including post-graduate courses, in the following areas:
- National Capital Region
- Zambales
- Bataan
- Pampanga
- Pangasinan
- Tarlac
- Bulacan
- Laguna
- Cavite
- Rizal
The Palace said there will be work in government and private offices on Thursday.
Incessant monsoon rain has caused heavy flooding in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon, leading to the death of at least 20 people and the declaration of a state of calamity in over 10 provinces. – Rapper.com
