
A cluster of earthquakes that began Tuesday night (Wednesday morning MNL time) and continued until Wednesday hit Orange County in Southern California. At a news conference, Kate Hutton of the US Geological Survey said there had been at least 30 quakes but that only 3, including a 4.5 and 4.4 quake, were felt by residents. “This is all part of the same earthquake sequence. They’re all in the same area,” Hutton said. There was little damage, but experts said aftershocks were expected.
