MANILA, Philippines – Social media was abuzz about the reunion of President Benigno Aquino III and ex-girlfriend Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad Thursday morning, August 9.
The President, along with presumptive senatorial candidates of the Liberal Party (LP), visited Valuenzuela City to check the flood situation and distribute relief goods to victims.
Obviously tickled by the reunion, netizens quickly reacted to the live tweets of some politicians and several reporters who were with the President’s party in Valenzuela. The photo posted by TV5 reporter Roices Naguit on Twitter, for example, quickly made the rounds.
According to reports, Soledad obviously distanced herself from the President. She is now married to Pasig City Rep Roman Romulo.
