Miranda is new Nolcom chief
MANILA, Philippines – Starting Thursday, August 13, Major General Glorioso Miranda will asssume as the new commander of the Armed Forces Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom).
The commander of the 7th Infantry Division will move up the ladder with the retirement of current Nolcom chief Lieutenant General Felicito Virgilio Trinidad.
His operational area includes the entire northern and central Luzon.
AFP chief General Hernando Iriberri, the mistah of Miranda at the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1983, will lead the retirement and change of command ceremony at the Nolcom Grandstand in Camp Aquino in Tarlac.
Miranda is a bemedalled Scout Ranger and Paratrooper who was awarded a Distinguished Conduct Star, 4 Distinguished Service Stars, and 4 Gold Cross Medals.
