Nepali arrested for carrying shabu at NAIA

The suspect arrived on board a Philippine Airlines flight from Bangkok

MANILA, Philippines – A Nepali man was caught carrying nearly two kilos of the illegal drug “shabu” upon his arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Friday night, August 10.

The suspect, identified as Sun Bahadur Tamang, arrived at NAIA Terminal 2 on board a Philippine Airlines flight from Bangkok at around 6 p.m.

Customs policemen found 1.8 kilograms of metamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, in the false bottom of his luggage.

Airport authorities said Sun Bahadur last entered the Philippines on June 9, and departed the same month. – Rappler.com
