Rappler takes note of advertisements that politicians are putting out ahead of the filing of certificates of candidacies and the official campaign period. Spotted in the last week: Grace Poe during primetime on Friday, August 28, where a montage of photos of the neophyte senator reaching out to the masses appears on video, including her MRT 3 trip and a rundown of her accomplishments in the Senate. At the end of her political ad, the slogan “Walang maiiwan” (No one will be left behind) is shown. Early last week, administration standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas III released another ad, highlighting President Benigno Aquino III’s endorsement at Club Filipino on July 31. Other ads spotted are from senatorial aspirants TESDA chief Joel Villanueva, PhilHealth director Risa Hontiveros, Metro Manila Development Authority Francis Tolentino, and Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno.
