Former United Nations secretary-general Boutros Boutros-Ghali died on Tuesday, February 16, at the age of 93. Boutros-Ghali was a veteran Egyptian diplomat who led the world body from 1992 to 1996, during the crises in Somalia, Rwanda, the Middle East, and the former Yugoslavia. He was the first UN chief from the African continent.
