ANGELES CITY, Philippines – The co-owner of a big construction supply company in this city was freed two days after his abduction, local authorities confirmed on Saturday, March 19.

Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan confirmed the release of the businessman before dawn on Saturday.

Police sources said the victim was left by the still unidentified kidnappers at the back of the city-owned Ospital Ning Angeles in Pampang village and was fetched by his family around 3 am. 

He was unharmed. 

Authorities, however, were mum on reports that ransom payment was paid to secure the businessman’s release.

Several men forcibly dragged the businessman into a white van while he was walking along Jake Gonzales Boulevard in Malabanias village here on Thursday morning. A witness reported the incident to the police. – Rappler.com
