Alabang-Makati premium bus route launched
The third point-to-point bus route is expected to provide a convenient transportation option for residents living in parts of Cavite and southern Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Good news for commuters traveling between Alabang and Makati City: a newly-launched point-to-point (P2P) bus route promises to make travel time faster and more convenient.

“Residents from southern Metro Manila and parts of Cavite will now have a more convenient transportation option that will provide them significant travel time savings and enhanced passenger experience when traveling to the central business district,” Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya said in a statement on Tuesday, April 26.

The buses are operated by RRCG Transport. Pick-up points are designated at Alabang Town Center in Alabang and at Greenbelt 1 in Makati.

The P2P route, the third one currently operational, is part of the bus modernization plan of the DOTC and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

The two other routes are from Trinoma mall in Quezon City to Makati, and from Ortigas Center to Makati.

The LTFRB said that another route, from SM North EDSA in Quezon City to Ortigas Center, is also set to be launched.

“We hope that other bus operators will also join us in our bid to raise the standards for public transportation by offering higher quality services to commuters,” Abaya said.

The point-to-point bus service, first launched at the beginning of the year, promises commuters a faster and more comfortable ride. Buses depart on a fixed schedule and travel directly from the terminal to the drop-off point, cutting travel time by around 20 or 30 minutes. – Rappler.com
