Ted Cruz ends White House bid

Texas Senator Ted Cruz dropped out of the White House race after suffering a crushing defeat in Indiana’s primary. “We gave it everything we’ve got, but the voters chose another path,” he told supporters in Indianapolis. Cruz had been hoping to use Indiana to block rival Donald Trump from receiving the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the Republican nomination.
