President-elect Duterte wants 4 railway systems built

During the campaign season, Rodrigo Duterte said the way to solve Metro Manila traffic is to decongest the megacity by spurring development in the provinces. He eyed railways a one way to improve interconnection between provinces. On Saturday night, May 28, now President-elect Duterte told media during a press conference that he would prioritize the construction of a railway. In all, he wants 4 railway systems built: Manila-Nueva Vizcaya, Manila-Sorsogon, Manila-Batangas, and the whole Mindanao.
