MANILA, Philippines – Shortly after his inauguration, Thursday, June 30, President Rodrigo Duterte presided over his first Cabinet meeting.
One of his first orders to his Cabinet officials was to line up like ordinary people when they go on trips. He also told his Cabinet that he is considering building a road network leading to Clark International Airport while mass transportation projects are being worked out.
The new President expressed his ideas and concerns about the Philippines’ dispute with China in the South China Sea (West Philippine Sea), giving a glimpse of the direction the country may be heading regarding this major issue, under his watch.
