The Ombudsman once again suspended Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno for 3 months without pay and ordered the filing of graft charges against him. The charges stemmed from a lease contract agreement that Moreno allegedly entered into in 2013 to house Cagayan de Oro City’s Sports Development Program for boxing. The investigation showed that the city disbursed P175,000 for rental payment without authority from the city council.
