MANILA, Philippines – An Ateneo de Manila Junior High School teacher was shot dead by an unidentified gunman on Monday night, July 18, initial reports said.

Citing the police, ABS-CBN reported that victim Emmanuel Jose Pavia sustained two gunshot wounds to the head.

A witness reportedly heard gunshots from Pavia’s home in Barangay Barangka, Marikina City, at around 7PM Monday.

Pavia, who teaches math, was declared dead on arrival at the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center, the same report said.
