IN PHOTOS: Supporters, politicians flock to Miriam's wake
MANILA, Philippines – A long line of people crowded Lantana Street in Cubao, Quezon City as supporters waited for their turn to see the remains of former Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago.
Millennials and elders alike went to see the iconic senator before her interment set for Sunday, October 2.
Lawyer Rissa Ofilada, who had worked for Santiago for two decades, said they are making sure that every supporter of the departed senator will get to personally bid goodbye to her.
Politicians and other VIPs also paid their respects to the senator during the second day of her wake.
