New premium buses rolling out on October 12
The 14 double decker buses are part of the premium point-to-point bus service launched earlier this year

MANILA, Philippines – The transportation department will launch 14 new double decker buses to add to the point-to-point (P2P) bus service introduced earlier this year.

The brand new buses will be presented at the P2P station in Trinoma Mall in Quezon City on Wednesday, October 12.

Of the 14 buses, 5 are designed for the benefit of persons with disabilities. Two are VIP double decker buses, while 7 are VIP semi double decker buses, which are intended for passengers who will be affected by the “no window hours” policy.

The new policy takes effect next week, but a dry run will be implemented from Wednesday to Friday.

Each VIP double decker bus has 52 reclining sleeper seats. The lower floor features a VIP cabin with comfort room, VIP sofas, a conference table, and flat screen television monitors with KTV functions.

The P2P bus service promises commuters a faster and more comfortable ride. Buses depart on a fixed schedule and travel directly from the terminal to the drop-off point, cutting travel time by around 20 or 30 minutes. – Rappler.com
