Killed: 2 suspects in murder of Kerwin Espinosa’s ex-wife
Richard Jungoy and Michael Lendio, suspects in the murder of Kerwin Espinosa's ex-wife Annalou Llaguno, are shot dead in Cebu City

CEBU CITY, Philippines – In a span of less than 24 hours, 2 suspects in the murder of Annalou Llaguno, the ex-wife of suspected drug lord Rolando “Kerwin” Espinosa, were killed in Cebu City.

On Monday, October 17, two gunmen shot dead Michael Lendio, who was celebrating his 41st birthday along JM Basa Street, in Barangay San Nicolas.

“It turned out that the victim is the person in the artist sketch in the suspected shooting of Annalou Llaguno,” Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Superintendent Joel Doria said in Filipino during a press conference on Tuesday, October 18.

“Positively identified na siya yun (He’s identified as the suspect),” Doria said. “We wanted to get him alive to find the remaining suspects, but our theory is that his co-horts got to him first.”

The other suspect, Richard Jungoy, was buying cigarettes in Barangay Dulo-Fatima, at around 3 pm, when he was shot by 2 men on motorcycles.

Llaguno, who was killed on September 30, is the alleged ex-wife of suspected drug lord from Albuera, Leyte, Kerwin Espinosa, who was nabbed in Abu Dhabi over the weekend.

She was also the reported ex-girlfriend of alleged drug lord Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz, who was killed in Las Piñas City in a police operation last June 18.

Llaguno’s boyfriend claimed that she was the niece of the late Crisostomo “Tata Negro” Llaguno. Crisostomo Llaguno ran for a seat on the Cebu City Council, but was shot dead by unidentified gunmen.

Police suspected that Crisostomo was killed due to his alleged involvement in illegal drugs. – Rappler.com
