Reports from Coast Guard District National Capital Region-Central Luzon said a Mr Jereco Taneo reported the missing vessel to the Coast Guard Sub-station in Sta Cruz on the afternoon of Friday, November 25.

Taneo, 51, is the skipper of F/Bca Love Miles – 2. He was on the fishing operation with the F/Bca Antalan Tabat.

The missing fishermen, onboard F/Bca Antalan Tabat, left the Scarborough Shoal area on November 21, at around 6 pm, but were reportedly left behind. Taneo and his crew got back to Sta Cruz at 11:30 pm.

The fishing boat that went missing was painted white and brown and ran on an EZK engine.

PCG Commandant Rear Admiral William Melad directed and dispatched BRP Tubbataha (MRRV-4401) and PCG Islander to conduct search and rescue operations for the missing fishermen.
