MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Navy disclosed on Saturday, December 1, that the bodies of two missing Korean divers were found in Maricaban, Batangas.
The two casualties were Kim Jun Ho, 45, and Bae Jiun, 34. Their bodies were found at a depth of 190 feet, inside a small underwater cave.
Naval public affairs office director Colonel Omar Tonsay said a search and rescue operation was launched on Wednesday, November 28, on orders of Navy Chief Vice Admiral Alexander Pama.
The Naval special operations group (NAVSOG) found the bodies of the two Korean divers on Friday, November 30.
Navy tech divers are scheduled to resume retrieval operations this Saturday. Retrieval operations on Friday were suspended due to poor visibility. – Rappler.com
