Iloilo Airport reopens after stalled Cebu Pacific plane towed
(UPDATED) Cebu Pacific said that the aircraft was removed from the mud late morning on Monday

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The Iloilo International Airport reopened Monday afternoon, October 16, after a stalled Cebu Pacific plane was towed away from the airport’s runway.

The aircraft veered off the runway and got stuck in the mud late Friday, October 13.

Cebu Pacific said that the aircraft was removed from the mud late morning on Monday.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) earlier extended the airport’s runway closure until 12 noon Monday.

With the resumption of operations at Iloilo International AirportCebu Pacific has rescheduled the following flights to and from the airport have been rescheduled.

Flights rescheduled as of 3pm Monday, October 16

5J 450  Iloilo-Manila   rescheduled to 3:50 pm (ETD)  5:05 pm  (ETA)

5J 165  Iloilo –Cebu rescheduled to 4:20 pm  (ETD) 5:00 pm (ETA)

5J 164 Cebu-Iloilo  rescheduled to 5:30 pm (ETD) 6:15 pm (ETA) 

5J 695 Iloilo-CDO rescheduled  6:45 pm (ETD) 7:40 pm (ETA)

5J 696 CDO-Iloilo  rescheduled 8:10 pm (ETD) 9:05 pm (ETA)

5J 462 Iloilo-Manila rescheduled 9:35 pm (ETD) 10:45 pm (ETA)

Cebu Pacific advised affected passengers to contact the airline for further inquiries or concerns. 

Philippine Airlines, which also flies to and from Iloilo, also advises its passengers that those affected by the flight cancellations to and from Iloilo from October 14 to 16 can rebook, refund, or reroute their tickets. – Rappler.com
