West PH Sea commander is new Air Force chief
MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Major General Galileo Gerard Kintanar as the new chief of the Philippine Air Force (PAF).
Kintanar will replace outgoing PAF commanding general Edgar Fallorina in a change of command ceremony Tuesday morning, October 24. Duterte is expected to lead the ceremony.
Kintanar is the chief of the Western Command (Wescom) based in Palawan. It is the unit responsible for protecting the country's territories in the West Philippine Sea.
