Garcia was meted with a 6-month suspension by the Office of the President after she was found guilty of using the provincial government’s budget for allegedly anomalous contracts.

She however refused to leave the Capitol and has sought a temporary restraining order from the Court of Appeals to stop the government from enforcing the suspension order against her.

Acting Gov Agnes Magpale said that they won’t bar Garcia from returning to the Capitol after she dances in Sinulog. – Rappler.com
