Mikey Arroyo Returns to Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Former presidential son and Ang Galing Party List Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo returned to the Philippines before dawn Monday, two days before his travel permit lapsed.

Arroyo arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport aboard a Philippine Airlines flight (PR-105) flight from San Francisco at 3:34 a.m., a report on dzBB radio said.

The report said Arroyo arrived alone and went straight to a waiting black vehicle and did not entertain requests by media for an interview.

Rep. Arroyo left for the US last Nov. 17 after the Quezon City court handling a tax evasion charge against him allowed him to go abroad.

His return came a day before his mother, former President and now Pampanga Rep. Gloria Arroyo, is to be transferred from the St. Luke’s Medical Center to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center.
