DAVAO CITY, Philippines –  (UPDATED) A magnitude 6.2 earthquake jolted the province of Davao del Sur on Saturday, February 16, the US Geological Survey said

The earthquake struck 28 kilometers Southeast of Caburan, Davao del Sur at around 12:37 in the afternoon with a depth of 98.2 kilometers. The quake was monitored about 85 east-southeast of General Santos City, Mindanao.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said Intensity 4 was felt in Mati and Taragona in Davao Oriental. The tremor was felt in Davao City, Digos City, General Santos City and in Sarangani Province.

Intensity 3 was felt in Davao City while Intensity 2 was felt in General Santos City, Butuan City and in Malaybalay in Bukidnon.
