Andal Ampatuan Sr, main suspect in the 2009 Ampatuan massacre, is now at V Luna Hospital
MANILA, Philippines – The main suspect in the 2009 Ampatuan massacre, Andal Ampatuan Sr, vomited blood and was rushed to the hospital Friday, March 9, his lawyer Sigfried Fortun said.
Ampatuan is now at V Luna Hospital in Quezon City.
Fortun said Ampatuan has nursed high fever since 2 nights ago, with his blood pressure dropping to a low of 50/40. He has also had chills and malaise, Fortun said.
Ampatuan also faces an electoral sabotage charge along with former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and former Maguindanao election supervisor Lintang Bedol.
Arroyo was separately arraigned last month, while Ampatuan and Bedol are scheduled to undergo arraignment March 19. – Rappler.com
