Cebu bettor wins over P100M Lotto 6/42 jackpot

MANILA, Philippines – A bettor from Toledo City in Cebu hit the jackpot when he picked the winning numbers in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Lotto 6/42 to win over P100 million Tuesday, May 21.

The winning combination of 19-34-25-01-04-13 gave a P107, 289, 200.80 payoff.

Because of taxes, as provided by the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings are subject to 20 percent tax. This means, P21, 457, 840.16 would be deducted from the winnings.

The PCSO said the lucky ticket was purchased at an outlet in Toledo City.

The last time a bettor won in the Lotto 6/42 was in the February 28 draw, this means 27 draws without a winner. 

Also collecting dividends were 58 bettors who won P24,590 each for getting at least 5 digits correctly in the winning combination.  

Lucky bettors must go to PCSO’s main office in Madaluyong City, and present two IDs to collect their prizes.

 Last May 12, the lone winner from Manila of the Super Lotto 6/49 won over P140 million. On the other hand, while the single Ultra Lotto 6/58 winner from Zambales earned more than P79 million.

Meanwhile, the jackpot in the Grand Lotto 6/55 has climbed to over P190 million, with no one getting the winning numbers since January 23.

Lawyer Marissa Medrano, PCSO spokesperson, urged the public to keep on patronizing the PSCO because most of the agency’s revenue goes to charity.
