CEBU CITY, Philippines – Cut submarine cables prompted service interruptions for Globe customers across the Visayas and Mindanao, according to an advisory issued by the telecommunications company on Tuesday, June 4.

“Between 1-2 pm today, the Globe network experienced multiple fiber cuts, two of which were submarine cables,” they said in the statement. “The incidents disrupted all mobile services (voice, data, SMS).

The statement said that Globe At Home Broadband and Bayan customers will experience intermittent service for both landline and internet.

There is no advisory yet on when services will be fully restored. – Rappler.com
