OCCIDENTAL MINDORO, Philippines – After a Chinese vessel rammed the rear of F/B Gem-Ver, the Filipino fishing boat sank in the middle of the West Philippine Sea and down with it went the livehood of 22 fishermen. The government promised to conduct an inquiry into the incident. It has also provided initial aid to the fishermen and their families.
