3-year-old girl dies after getting shot in Rizal buy-bust
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – A 3-year-old girl caught in the crossfire during a buy-bust operation in Rodriguez, Rizal, died of a gunshot wound to the head on Sunday, June 30.

The buy-bust operation, which targeted Renato Ulpina and his still unidentified cohort, took place along Pines Street in Metro Manila Hills Subdivision, Barangay San Jose, at around 7:40 am on Saturday, June 29.
Police Senior Master Sergeant Conrado Cabigao went undercover to transact with the two men. But Ulpina's cohort, according to a police report, recognized Cabigao as a cop.
Police said the two suspects then pulled out their guns, triggering a shootout.
According to investigators, it was then that Ulpina used his daughter as a human shield.
Ulpina and his cohort were shot dead during the operation.
Cabigao was shot in the neck, while the 3-year-old girl sustained a gunshot wound in the head.
Both Cabigao and the child were rushed to the hospital. But the cop was declared dead on arrival, while the child died the next day. – Rappler.com
