Danish national found dead in Olongapo

OLONGAPO CITY, Philippines – A Danish national was found dead on Wednesday, March 13, in the apartment he is renting here.

Soren Andreasen, 49, was found dead at about 9 AM by the caretaker of his apartment, according to investigators.

The cause of his death has yet to be established.

Andreasen only had underclothes on, and was apparently drinking bottles of beer before he died.

Eduardo Acosido, the caretaker, said Andreasen had complained of stomach pain the day before, but “he didn’t want to be brought to the hospital. He said he didn’t have any money.”

But neighbors of Andreasen said that there had been loud fights in the area, which only housed foreigners.

A lady neighbor of Andreasen said, “Girls come and go in that apartment, and sometimes they have noisy fights there.”

Investigators said they are not ruling out foul play in Andreasen’s death, but told Rappler that “we have to establish the cause in the investigation.” — Rappler
