MANILA, Philippines – The national government and some local government units have suspended classes on certain days of March and April 2020 due to the threat of the novel coronavirus.

Measures will be undertaken to prevent the spread of the virus, including disinfecting campuses.

LUZON

Metro Manila – all levels (public and private), starting March 10 and later extended until April 14. Earlier announcements:

  • Caloocan City – all levels (public and private) on March 10 and March 11
  • City of Manila – all levels (public and private) from March 9 to 15
  • Marikina City – all levels (public and private) from March 9 to 11
  • Navotas City – all levels (public and private) on March 9
  • Pasay City – all levels (public and private) on March 9 and 10
  • Quezon City – Bagong Lipunan Crame Elementary School and High School only on March 9
  • San Juan City – all levels (public and private) on March 9

Calabarzon

  • Batangas province – all levels (public and private) from March 12 to 14, then additional announcement also for March 13 to 31
