MANILA, Philippines – Rappler will hold its first senatorial debate on Saturday, April 13, in Quezon City.
It is the first time a senatorial debate will be held in a public place to allow voters to engage the candidates.
The Rappler Senatorial Debate will bring together contenders in the 2013 senatorial elections for a frank discussion of platforms and principles. It will also allow candidates to respond to questions both from social media and the audience present.
It will be livestreamed online through Rappler.com.
The debate will also be broadcast live on Radyo Natin, the biggest radio network in the Philippines. Radyo Natin has 100 stations nationwide – from Claveria and Aparri, Cagayan in the north to Bongao, Tawi-tawi in the south – which broadcasts to audiences never before reached by other radio stations. Radyo Natin is found on the FM band.
