MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – A bomb threat reported in one of the IBM office buildings at the UP-AyalaLand TechnoHub along Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City was a false alarm.

The Explosive Ordnance Division (EOD) of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) declared it a false alarm at around 8:00 pm of Tuesday, June 25. SPO4 Victor de Leon, chief in charge of the QCPD Tactical Operations Center, confirmed this to Rappler.

Employees in IBM Buildings E, F and G were evacuated at around 6:00 pm. 

In a phone interview, De Leon said that EOD operatives scoured the area for explosives shortly thereafter, but the search turned up negative.
