President Aquino said Black Saturday will be a special nonworking day nationwide

MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno S. Aquino III has  declared Black Saturday, April 7,  as a special nonworking day nationwide.
In issuing Proclamation 360, dated March 29 but released only on Monday, April 2, President Aquino noted that Black Saturday, which falls between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, “has been traditionally declared a special (nonworking) day throughout the country.”
“The observance of Holy Week is one of our people’s most cherished traditions. Our people must be given the full and uninterrupted opportunity to ponder on the significance of the Holy Week and to properly observe its traditions with religious fervor, without prejudice to public interest,” Mr. Aquino said. – Rappler.com
