Former President Arroyo set to be arraigned over corruption charges
MANILA, Philippines – Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo arrived at the Sandiganbayan Wednesday, April 11, at around 7.45 am for her scheduled arraignment over corruption charges in relation to the botched NBN-ZTE deal.
Also to be arraigned with her are her husband, Mike Arroyo, and former Commission on Elections chair Benjamin Abalos Sr. Mike Arroyo was already at the Sandiganbayan as of posting.
Mrs Arroyo is in good spirits though diagnosed with shingles last Friday.
She said she doesn’t do much reading since she has begun writing her memoirs. – Rappler.com
