DAVAO CITY, Philippines – A magnitude 5.3 earthquake jolted General Santos City on Wednesday morning, September 4, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs posted that the quake struck 84 kilometers southeast of General Santos City at around 7:46 in the morning.
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, has a depth of 143 kilometers.
Intensity 2 was felt in the cities of General Santos, Kidapawan, Koronadal and Davao.
No damages were reported as of posting.
