Emmy-award-winning producer Michael Carandang was born in Batangas before moving to the United States as a kid. There he found a career in television and worked for the Jerry Springer Show, the Tyra Banks Show, and the worldwide hit America’s Next Top Model. Carandang, who was instrumental in getting Filipino talents like Michael Cinco and Bench model Georgina Wilson on the show, spoke to Rappler about ANTM, American Idol, and why he’s spending 8 months back in the Philippines.
