MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Traffic at the intersection of EDSA and FB Harrison in Manila came to standstill Wednesday, October 9, in the evening because of a “suspected bomb threat.”

According to the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), an unidentified man threw a “suspicious bag” on to the roof of a passing bus. Members of the Special Weapons and Tactics team and bomb team came in to investigate the threat.

But at 9:28pm, the MMDA confirmed through a tweet that no bomb was found inside the bag.
