
Four American soldiers might have been killed after their helicopter, which was flying over southwestern Afghanistan, crashed on Thursday, April 19. The chopper was on a nighttime mission. Two defense officials said the crash may have been caused by either an enemy attack or weather conditions. The American soldiers were on board the helicopter identified as an Army Black Hawk. Official announcement from the US military in Kabul, however, made no confirmation of reports of casualties and that the cause of the crash was not known. While helicopter crashes are frequent in Afghanistan, it is quite unusual for them to be caused by enemy fire.
