MANILA, Philippines – A bomb threat disrupted the operations at the head office of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in Quezon City on Monday morning, November 4.
The threat was first reported at around 9:30 am when an LTFRB employee received a call from an unidentified man threatening to throw a grenade into the compound, located along East Avenue.
The office was immediately evacuated, and police searched the building for any explosives, dzMM and dzBB reported.
A grenade was found at the third floor of the building, but authorities said there was no danger of explosion.
After a sweep of the LTFRB headquarters by the Bomb Squad of the Quezon City Police, the LTFRB resumed operations shortly before noon. – Rappler.com
