Miss Philippines Ariella Arida finished 3rd runner-up in the 2013 Miss Universe beauty pageant on early Sunday, November 10 (Philippine time). It was 25-year-old Venezuelan television presenter Gabriela Isler who was crowned Miss Universe in a glittering ceremony in Moscow. Isler’s triumph was the 7th Miss Universe win for Venezuela, where beauty pageants are a source of national pride. Judges, including rock star Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, picked the winner from a total of 86 contestants at the show watched by millions of viewers around the world.
