
Filipino boxer Nonito Donaire finally landed his signature left hook on the 9th round of his rematch with Vic Darchinyan on November 10 at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Two judges had it 78-74 for Darchinyan, and one had it at 76 points apiece as Darchinyan was on his way to a points victory after 8 rounds. But Donaire’s power again proved to be the equalizer as he laid to waste a tough Darchinyan, who dropped to the canvas face first and even fell through the ropes.
