MANILA, Philippines – The Makati regional trial court granted the request of Janet Napoles to allow her family longer visiting hours this Christmas and New Year, according to police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac.

“Her request was approved. The visiting hours for Christmas and New Year were extended but it’s limited to 5 to 8 immediate family members only,” Sindac told Rappler.

The alleged multi-billion pork barrel scam mastermind asked the court to allow her family to stay inside her detention facility from 1 pm on December 24 to 1 am on December 25. They may return at 1 pm on Christmas day and stay until 10 pm.

It’s the same arrangement on December 31 and January 1 for the New Year celebrations.

Visitors are not allowed to bring her gifts, however.
